Recommended Hand Creams For Dry Working Hands

So we all have those days where we look at our hands and wish there was a hand cream out there to save our hard working hands. I wash my hands a lot, I work in a dry environment, my skin often gets so dry that it feels rough and my skin actually peels by the time im off work. -_-

Sounds horrible right?

Well it is.

BUT there is a solution for this and here are the two hand cream that I use and recommend.

1. Crabtree & Evelyn Ultra moisturising hand cream

This has got to be one of the best hand creams I have ever used! It is not too greasy as long as you use a moderate amount. If you are someone that washes your hand very often throughout the day, I think this hand cream will work well for your skin. It claims to soften your skin with each use, which I find that it did help smooth some of my dry skin out from work. It also claims to condition the cuticles and nails.. now that is a big WOW and a big PLUS to the product. I am not sure about how much it conditions my nails since I have polish on top of it all the time, but I see the change in my cuticles. It is not as dry after a week of my manicure. Usually the cuticles start to look dry and ugly at the end of the week, but this hand cream helps with those problems.

The consistency is not too thick, and can be very light if you use a small amount

Although I would like to say that this hand cream has helped with my dry skin but I think it only did 40% of the work. I feel that if you are someone who just does office work, or getting dry hands from the dry winter air, this will probably do the job for you.

The packaging of this product reminds me of the L'occitane packaging. I use to really like L'occitane hand cream, but I think it only made my skin smooth for a few hours or until I washed my hands. I don't feel like it really helped if you are looking for a long term product. I would definitely prefer Crabtree & Evelyn over L'occitane. There is also a variety of different scents to choose from, I recommend evelyn rose; it is a very light rose fragrance. Give it a try!

2. Kamill Hand Cream; Nagelcreme

This hand cream is a MUST GET! I love it to death. It is what saved my hand from having dry crack skin. I will list out the pro and cons although I feel like the pro overrides the cons because I have gone through my 3rd bottle of this and recommended to all my family and friends. Now for the Pros, its moisturizing, smooths out rough skin, intensive, nice fragrance, moisture lasts for more than 12 hours. Cons: It is pretty heavy/thick, bad for day use and...thats it!

This hand cream is really bad for day time use, however I use a generous amount at night and allow it work its magic while I am sleeping. The next morning when I wake up and wash my hands, I can still feel the moisture/cream that is on my hands. After washing my hands, I instantly feel a difference in the dry skin. It is A-MAZING!

Can you tell the consistency is thicker?
Now this creme contains chamomile extracts and bisabolol to sooth the dry skin and protect dry skin. It also contains aloe vera and avocado oil to help moisturize the skin. I am not good with describing scents, but it smells a bit floral. It is not a overwhelming scent for me so therefore I am able to just leave it in my hands overnight and sleep with it. My sister does not like anything scented, however because this creme works really well, she uses it every night as well.

This post is pretty long, but after reading about it, will you give these hand cream a try or have you used it already?

Fedora Hats with Casual Outfits

Hey everyone!

Today I decided to do something a little different other than posting up beauty and nail related posts! The reason why? Because I have always wanted to post OOTD posts and also share my outfits. I may not be the biggest fashionista out there, but I love simple outfits, and I think sometimes gals out there just needs to be inspired by wearing casual outfits instead of always the fancy and expensive clothes that a lot of bloggers do out there.

Don't get me wrong, I follow many fashion bloggers out there and get inspired by them daily, so I just wanted to share a dose of what I have as well except, with some clothes that are more budget friendly.

Heres an easy outfit I threw on with a fedora hat. I think the fedora looks awesome with stripes and my statement piece of the outfit was of course my fedora. It gave my outfit more of a nautical and I felt it just made the outfit stand out more. I also added some curls to my hair for some texture and to bring it out of the boring casual look.

I decided to add this last picture .. just because. It was a relaxing day and this picture explained it all.

Until my next post,
Take care :)

Bobbi Brown Apricot Blush Review

Hi Hi!

I am back again with another post! If you are looking for the perfect pink blush, then look no further because this is it. Recently I have been in love with Bobbi Brown's Apricot Blush. The powder is fine, the color is pigmented. I only need one swipe on my brush and that is enough for me. Of course if you want extra pink cheeks, you can always swipe more. But I like it simple and light. I posted a couple of swatches as well. There is really no cons to this, the packaging is so clean and sleek looking, and its nice and small so I would say it is travel friendly. It is not heavy at all, so that also makes it easier to carry around. It doesn't have a brush like the Benefit blushes but I still think its good enough. It isn't chunky or anything. Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase and I will be using this a lot for the spring weather :) Although for some people it is probably already summer in other countries =( Sadly New York is still stuck in between spring and summer.

I did two swatches so that you can see the lighter and darker swatch. As you can tell, it is a very pigmented color :)

I hope the review helps! Until next week.. toodles :D

Manicure Monday Sephora by OPI I'm Wired

Hellooo All!

It is Monday, a new week, and a new start again! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend, and memorial weekend as well.

I was quite busy going back to work for training again so I did not have time to post =x and also I had to help my boyfriends family move into a new apartment when I came back from training. It was quite a busy weekend. I also watched the new X Men movie. It isn't really that new because it came out a month ago, but thats okay I still really enjoyed it and I recommend to watch if you would ask me. :)

So I am not sure if you all remember/know, but I had a post a few weeks ago when I went to Marie Nails to do my nails. I really liked the red coral color that I chose and really wanted to buy one for myself. Soooo.. I was conveniently lucky enough to find this color at Sephora by OPI Gelshine "I'm Wired". The colors are very similar except I would say this is a bit brighter. If you want a comparison of the colors just click HERE for the link to my last blog post about it. The gel is also amazing, my nails lasted for 2 weeks and I think it can go for another week but I wanted to change my nail color after the second week hehe.

Its $18 for a gel nail bottle which seems expensive but to me I think it is worth investing my money into it esp since I bought this bottle for $18 whereas I went to Marie Nails and paid about $40 to do my nails. Of course I think any girl would like to get pampered but if you are on a budget and cannot afford to go to the nail salon every month to dish out 40 bucks and want to just do it yourself, then give it a shot. This gel is long lasting and if applied properly the gel does not lift as well!

Enjoy the rest of your week, and Please look forward to my next post on how to take care of your hands for hard working women!

Manicure Monday Festive Nails

Hello readers!

for this week..

I present ..

some nice green festive nails!

The past 2 weeks have been crazy. I have been attending weddings, spending some time with family and friends. It is so hard to be able to be consistent with posting, I give props to those really successful bloggers and youtubers out there. No wonder they do this as a full time job! Especially with my schedule, I find it even harder because I fly a lot but I do not always bring my laptop with me. I am always scared that TSA will steal my stuff or someone will break into my hotel room and take away my precious baby. Its not even the laptop that is valuable, but the pictures that are stored into my laptop, and songs.. It is nice to listen to some old songs once in awhile.

I am also really happy to be able to post something more creative for manicure mondays! This manicure was not as perfect as I wanted it to be. I felt a little rusty after not doing nail art for nearly two months.. which is insane for me because before I started working, I use to do something new every week! I was also trying to use the stripers to make the triangle, but my nail was not drying fast enough so in the end i just ended up free handing everything. Pretty good triangle for free hand wont you agree? This was done with my left hand too! Hehe, yeah I am feeling proud :)

Thanks for reading!
Enjoy the Spring weather :P

Laura Mercier Mineral Finishing Powder Review

Hey fellow beauty addicts!

So this week I wanted to review a product that is not new, but something I have been using all winter. I really like this mineral finishing powder because it gives my foundation a matte look. It stays on all day and its slightly tinted. I have oily combo skin and this also helps control the oil on my face. I got it in the shade 1, It is translucent but has a tint of peachy color to it. It does not affect my makeup and I just love how fine the powder is. You don't need to use much or else your going to have the feeling of putting too much of something on your face.

However I noticed sometimes when I breakout and my skin is a bit dry and its flaking, the finishing powder tends to make that spot even more dry.. But this happens when I use the Tarte too so I don't worry too much that it might be the powder. This is just a side note to put out there.

I would recommend this finishing powder if you are looking for a product to finish off your makeup and if you like the matte look. It's $34 but I have been using it for a few months now, so don't worry, you will get your moneys worth! Give it a try!

Laneige Water Bank Products Review

Hii!

I am back again with another product review this week. Laneige has come out with a new line a few months ago and these are the products I tried that I have emptied out. As you can see from the tallest bottle that there is pretty much nothing left in it. I fly a lot for work and I need hydrating products to help me during the flights. Let me not rant so much today, and just get straight to reviewing these products for you all :)

Laneige Water Sleeping Pack 80 mL $23 (Target)
This Sleeping pack is a MUST HAVE. Its an absolute MUST MUST MUST! I love using this especially if I feel too lazy to put on a sheet mask after a long flight. I have heard from some of my friends that sleeping mask are not as effective because throughout the night they get absorbed into ur skin really fast and it does not give you the same outcome as sheet mask.

This mask hydrates me throughout the night, In the morning or even after 6 hours of sleeping I feel my face at least 80% hydrated. I do not put a sheer layer on my face; I use a generous amount so that my face is still getting hydrated after 8-10 hours. If you only had to choose 1 product from this line, I would say this is it. I love this sleeping mask and it really makes my skin feel good after a long flight. It did not cause any breakouts for me as well. What a plus!

Sometimes after a flight I really do not want to put my sheet mask on and wait 20 minutes or even 10 minutes for it to sit on my face. I am glad I can use this sleeping mask after a long flight, sleep for 6 hours, wake up and feel my skin refreshed so that I can go out again to explore!

Laneige Water Bank Eye Gel Cream 25 mL $27.99 (Amazon)
The eye gel is not bad.. but its not the best if you want to see some fine line or dark circle improvements. I love the feeling of it once I put it on. It is gel so it has a bit of a cooling sensation which lasts for 1-2 seconds. It absorbs quickly when you pat it gently to the under eye. That is something I loved about this eye gel. However I was looking more for something to help reduce wrinkle so therefore I won't be purchasing this again.

Laneige Perfect Renew Emulsion 100mL $35 (Target)

Emulsion is usually used after serum and before moisturizing lotion/cream/gel. Its to help retain the moisture in your skin which is perfect for someone like me who flies a lot. Seriously I cannot say how important it is to drink water and moisturize your skin in order to keep it from breaking out. It says that it delivers a soothing effect and it pretty much does. Upon applying it to your skin, you can feel the cooling affect again for about 2 seconds. Only a small pump is needed for your face. I usually just pump a bit onto my palm, rub a little between the two palms and then pat all over my face. I love this emulsion and I will be re purchasing this again.

Because summer is approaching us soon, I can say that this emulsion is light enough to use during the summer and the eye gel as well!

I purchased all these products in Hong Kong, but I provided the pricing from Target because they just started carrying their products. I have no idea if this is just for now or for a limited time only. But hey its not expensive and it is a decent price for korean skin care products. I did not see the eye gel on target so I found the pricing listed on amazon.

Just in case you are wondering, it took me about .. 4 months to use up these products. I shared the sleeping mask with my sister so it might take you even more than 4 months to use it if you are using it by yourself!

I hope my review helps, Happy Shopping :)

Monday Nails at Marie's Nails

Happy Monday :)

It has been awhile since I did a nail update. Because of my occupation, I cannot always do nail designs. I am always limited to Red, Pink, or Nude colors. I have not been able to do any nail art, but I did my nails last week at Marie's Nails located in Soho, NYC. I chose the color #17 or #18? I forgot.. Sorry but it was on the nail color plate BIO2. I just really like this color because it is nice and bright for Spring. In NY it is still a bit chilly so we still have to wear our jackets. I love how this color goes with my green parka jacket.

I requested for calgel nails, It was $40. Not bad in my opinion. Honestly I go to Hong Kong a lot and I do not like how they do my nails. I am still looking for a location where they do not actually use hard gel as the clear layer. I did find one.. but it was $60 for just the regular opi gel... Uhm I get Calgel in NY for 40 bucks.. Of course I am not going to go back.. But I still need to find a place in HK as back up in case I do not have time to do it in NY.

Of course I prefer to do it myself with my own machines, but I really do not have the time and energy after working so therefore I have to pay to get it done. The nail technicians there are really nice and they can give you suggestions based on your own preference. I always find it helpful when I ask for suggestions. I have not done any nail art there but I have seen it from other people sitting next to me and it looks really nice. When I have my two weeks of vacation, I will be getting some nail art done there ^_^

If you plan on making a trip to Marie Nails appointment is needed. Over the phone they will ask you if you have any gel on that you need to take off, what kind of design you want, One color, Gradiant, 3D Art, or Gems etc.. Just tell them what you have in mind. They are very friendly over the phone as well. They have two locations in NY. They are also located in LA, Japan, and Korea. I feel like this salon is already pretty popular. I will also link the yelp reviews if you would like to see more reviews.

NYX EyeBrow Cake Powder Review

Hey everyone!

I am back with another review! Recently I have not been posting much because of my busy schedule. I wish I had more time to do reviews and make videos of it. But for now I want to just focus on my blog and then escalate to making videos.

I plan on uploading pictures of me using these products, but because I try these products most of the time when I am getting ready in the morning, I have no time to take pictures etc.

And now on to my thoughts of the NYX eyebrow kit.

Straight off from looking at the packing, it is travel friendly but the case is a bit annoying because it opens from the side. Were they trying to be different or something? It just does not make it convenient that I had to open it from the side..

I got the color  ECP02 Dark Brown/Brown, because of the color of my hair. I have black hair but I dyed it to be a bit brown and I usually like my hair matching my eyebrow color a bit. So as you can tell from my swatch the colors are pretty dark, it is pretty powdery.. well of course! It is powder. I think if you do not use the gel that it comes with, it won't stay on, especially for summer. However if you DO use it, it will help keep it in place throughout the day.

To be honest, I feel a little indifferent with the brush, I don't really like it because it feels stiff to me, but I think sometimes stiff is good if you want better control of where you want to fill in on your brows. It is pretty thick though, it is not thin a thin brush. The spooly brush is not bad, it does the job. what do you expect for 5 bucks? lol

But for 5 bucks I think this product is pretty good, It does the job. Although I do admit I don't really use this product because my eyebrows are pretty full, and I still prefer the Benefit gimme brow eye brow gel. I did a review (Click for link to the review) on that a few months ago, and with such a small tube I am still using it. It is one of my favorites so I don't think I will be using this product unless I decide to go for a change.

Should you buy it? Yes I think its worth giving it a try if you want to buy an eyebrow kit thats inexpensive and small so its easy for you to bring around. But you may want to buy a separate eyebrow brush if you do not have one already.

Let me know on your thoughts of this product!

THE FACESHOP Eyebrow Shaver Review

Hi Everyone!

I know these eyebrow shavers have been out for awhile now. It is pretty popular in Korea and for Korean women to have straight eyebrows.

Does it work?
 - Yes, I believe it does a pretty good job in creating the straight brow. Its a quick and easy tool for those who are in a rush and just want a quick touchup on their brows. However I would not recommend useing it to reshape your brows. I am a firm believer that tweezer and threading are still the best way to get your eyebrows done.

How do I feel about it after using it?
Definitely happy with the amount of time it does save. However for me, my eyebrows grew back thicker and it felt very stubby when I touched it. I guess because you really are "shaving" it instead of "plucking" or "pulling" the hair out.

Because I do not like that stubby feeling I have decided to not use this unless I am really in a time crunch and I really need that clean up instantly.

I hope this mini review helps :) If you have used this eyebrow shaving tool and your eyebrow hair grows back fine let me know ^_^

Happy Monday :)

Last week I was quite busy since I traveled to Hong Kong. The weather there is still fall like compared to New York. Fall weather calls for fall nails :D

Sometimes simple can also look awesome. I loved this manicure that I did for my sister. Its sharp and edgy with just a few studs and color combo!

December/Winter Favorites!

Here are some of my winter favorite makeup that I have been using the past month!

Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink
I have been loving the Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner for months now, However recently I switched to Tarte and had to switch back to BB. Its soft and does not flake as much. It does dry out a little fast but still the best gel eyeliner I have tried thus far.

Benefit Cosmetics Rockateur Blush

Wow I must say good job Benefit! This blush is not too pink and it is the perfect color for fall and winter. It gives you that nice cold weather blushy cheek. Does that even make sense? It is definitely a must try!

Too Faced La Creme Lipstick
Too Faced La Creme Lipstick in Coral Fire
Too Faced La Creme Lipstick in Spice Spice Baby
In the winter time my lips get super dried, these are the perfect lip sticks that you can count on that wont dry your lips out! Although I do have to reapply the lipstick every few hours, these colors are beautiful. The coral fire is not too red and is perfect for any day where I do not want a very red lip color but just red enough for it to be visible and natural at the same time.

Spice Spice Baby is an awesome pick. It has definitely been my everyday lipstick so far. It is a natural lip color. I wear it to give my lips a little more color, and its just the perfect everyday shade. Moisturizing and natural! Sometimes my eye makeup is a little heavy but not too heavy, so this lipstick can help create the perfect balance!

Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief Facial Moisturizer
Of course during this cold season we all need all the moisture we can get to prevent our face from drying out! I love this moisturizer, It keeps my face moisturized and it does not feel heavy at all!! BUTTT the only down side to this is that there are no spf in it. =( However, my face primer has spf so it does not bother me too much.

What are some of your favorite winter products to recommend me? :)

Happy 2014! Updates on my Blog

Happy 2014!

Hello fellow readers!

Thanks for stopping by my blog, Although I just started this blog not long ago, I neglected it for the last 4 months. I recently got employed for a new job and had to go to Hong Kong for training. Now that I am done with training and have more time, I will be posting more reviews on makeup. Although I wish I can post more nail art, I think that there will be less of that now because my job does not allow me to have such crazy designs. Its disappointing and sad for me but oh well.. Have to do what I gotta do for work right?

I will also have a lot of update on makeup I purchased from Hong Kong. I took plenty of pictures and I been trying out some of it already so that I am ready to review it on my blog :)

New Years Resolution: Keep my blog going and upload more nail art!

Cheers to 2014!
